Pine cone jam
Pine cones are harvested in the Gauja National Park. They are boiled in a delicious, sweet jam. Spread it on breakfast slice of bread, put on pancakes, ice cream or use in making cakes and desserts. If you get sick or for prophylaxis, put this jam in your tea. In folk medicine, pine cones are used to treat various respiratory diseases. You can safely chew the cones in the jam; they are soft and contain the same good qualities that syrup does.
