Cherry liqueur
Cherries are one of the most beloved and juiciest Latvian garden and forest fruits – bright red, aromatic and full of summer energy. Cherry trees bloom in May with white or light pink flowers, but the berries ripen at the end of June and in July, when Latvia usually has the hottest and sunniest time.
The liqueur is based on the happy apple Ferryman, to which cherries harvested in the National Park of Gauja have been added. For sweetness and the fullness of the liqueur, a little sugar has also been added. Over 6 months, the berries give the drink the sun rays accumulated during the summer, their pronounced bright red color, the juicy cherry aroma and the sweet, mild taste. Alcohol content in the drink is 19%.
