Semi sweet sea buckthorn wine
Sea buckthorn in Latvia is found both in the wild and in landscaped fields. The flowers open in spring with the first leaves already in April, May. Both male and female seedlings are needed for the plant to pollinate and have a good berry yield. During summer, it is important for them to absorb a lot of moisture and sunlight. Sea buckthorn berries ripen in August, September. As the sea buckthorn grows in a thorn tree, pickers should wear gloves. When berries are collected, you can squeeze the juice from them, collect oil, but you can also make delicious wine.
